ROGERS CITY 3 Bell Tolls

The Great Lakes Lore Maritime Museum in Rogers City will host three memorial Bell Tolls during the month of November which include the freighters S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald, S.S. Carl D. Bradley and S.S. Daniel J. Morrell.SATURDAY – NOVEMBER 6th (1:00 PM) – Bell tolling service will be held for the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald, which sank in Lake Superior on November 10, 1975.SATURDAY– NOVEMBER 20th (1:00 PM) – Bell tolling service will be held for the S.S. Carl D. Bradley, which sank in Lake Michigan on November 18, 1958.SATURDAY – November 27th (1:00 PM) – Bell tolling service will be held for the S.S. Daniel J. Morrell , which sank in Lake Huron 52 on November 29, 1966.Held at the Great Lakes Lore Museum.367 N. 3rd st in Rogers City.They are free of charge and the public may visit the different areas of the museum after the program.

Over $4.1 million has been raised since its inception in 2008 and three special nonprofits have been selected to participate this season! The 2021 cast of SwingShift & the Stars was unveiled on Thursday August 26th at the Grand Traverse Event Center on Garfield Avenue. This year's incredible line-up includes:? AC Paw with dance team Marti Johnson & Kellen Blackburn who will dance the swing for the September shows and lip sync darlings, Philip & Melissa Smith, will perform in November, ? Cognition - Science & Discovery Center, has selected Clover Keyes Roy & Larry Avery to rhumba their way into your hearts in September and Rich Brauer & friends to delight audiences with their lip sync skills in November, ? Love Thy Neighbor - Grand Traverse, offers the admirable talents of Kendra Peterson & Tarren Thomas as their September Night -Club dancers and proudly presents Dawnette Wessell and her team of lip sync divas to compete in November’s events.New this season, SwingShift and the Stars will be live at the Grand Traverse Event Center on Garfield Ave. for 4 intimate nighttime events! While keeping alive the wonderful elements of learning, performing, and competing that our audiences love, we’re also focused on safety with new additions like contactless ticketing, donating and voting.
